Mrs. Kamakshi Narahari is from a village called  Nittur in Hosanagara Taluk, Shimoga District. She had her schooling at Nittur  and did her graduation from National College, Shimoga. Shedid her Master Degree (MA) in Kannada from Mysore University.

Independent, well-travelled and  adventurous with deep sense of business acumen, Mrs. Kamakshi Narahari  is one of the promoting partners at “Sagar Ventures”,  engaged in development of high quality residential apartment projects  in South Bangalore. She is also the Founder Partner of  “Stay@matthuga” – a luxury HOMESTAY near Jogfalls, Shimoga District offering high quality resort / away home with motto Athithi Devo Bhava

With a sense of commitment to fulfilling the cultural need of her place of stay, she has associated herself with various cultural activities and Krishna Kala Kendra is an extension of the same involvement.  Says she: “I would like to do my bit in promoting various art forms in and around our locality and hence, I am enthusiastic about this Kendra.”

A native of Ambale village near Chikkamagaluru, Sri Subbukrishna comes from an orthodox, middle class family. He did his schooling in Bhadravathi and later did his Bachelor of Engineering degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at Bangalore. He presently is employed in management cadre in a private corporate real estate organisation. His interest ranges from profession, cricket, music, drama and other art forms.


Sri Subbukrishna developed interest in classical music and dance on attending many concerts at Ganasudha Sangita Sabha at Bhadravathi during his childhood. Since then, he has attended hundreds of concerts and other cultural programs at various locations in Bangalore. With a desire to bring these kind of events closer to his neighbourhood, he, along with Karnataka Kalasree Vid. B K Shyam Prakash founded Keshava Samskruti Sabha about 12 years ago and has organized more than 140 programs (music concerts, dance recitals, Children’s Day, Nataraja Utsava, Samskruti Utsava etc.,) so far.  For him, Krishna Kala Kendra is a platform to further expand the range of programs to include the other art forms like dance, drama, yakshagana, ashtavadhana, harikathe, kaavya vaachana, percussion ensembles etc., closer to Vasantapura where he resides now.

Subbukrishna says: “ I treasure the friendship I have developed with artists of various degree i.e. Vidwans, Vidushis, up-coming young and child artists in various art forms and also various individuals and institutions patronizing art. I am desirous of using this to promote our Indian art forms at Vasantapura and its neighbourhood and hence, I am very passionate about making Krishna Kala Kendra a unique and interesting organization.”

A native of Ambale village near Chikkamagaluru, Sri Lakshmi Narayana Sharma (L.N. Sharma, for short) comes from an orthodox, middle class family. He did his Diploma in Electrical Engineering at Bhadravathi and Bachelor of Arts from Mysore University. After working in Life Insurance Corporation of India in various capacities upto Asst., Divisional Manager, for more than 34 years, he opted for voluntary retirement to spare time for social work. He is involved in the activities of Samskara Bharati and many other organisations which promote Indian Art and Culture. His interest ranges from social work, music, drama and other art forms.

Sri Sharma developed interest in classical music and was part of Ganasudha Sangita Sabha at Bhadravathi for more than a decade during his youth . Since then, he has attended hundreds of concerts and other cultural programs at various locations in Bangalore.


For him also, Krishna Kala Kendra is a platform to further expand the range of programs to include the art forms like upanyasa, lecture-demonstrations, rangageete etc., closer to Vasantapura.

Sharma says: “our ancient scriptures –vedas and Upanishads, have proclaimed that Kalopasana is a way of reaching God. This is an opportunity for us to achieve this by bringing in action different forms of arts like music dance etc., I am glad that I have got a role in Krishna Kala Kendra in this direction.”
